BananaBandy has become India’s largest market network for Creative Professionals Community. It has registered more than 10000 professionals as of now within a period of 12 months and the count is increasing exponentially. Launched in February 2015, the online market network is expanding tremendously with an aim to create a network of graphic designers, product designers, animators, fashion designers, interior designers and so on. The portal enables such professionals to register and upload their portfolio in a simple manner. It helps them to manage their professional portfolio online and at the same time connect with relevant buyers of their services thus providing them ample opportunities.

Within a short span of less than a year, the portal witnessed more than 700 job listings engaging around 500 companies of the country. The portal has more than 6000 projects listing and over 30000 artworks requirements. There are prestigious companies like Practo, Walt Disney, Asian Paints, Grofers, O&M (Ogilvy & Mather), Sunburn, and a lot more on the portal seeking professional services on the full-time or freelance basis. The company’s founders are youngsters Kavan Antani, 19, and Shashank Jogani, 21. Starting as a bootstrapped company, within 60 days of its launch, it accumulated a funding of Rs. 2.5 crore from market leaders like Chaitanya Deshpande, former M&A Head, Marico, and Srinivasa Aluri, Managing Director, Morgan Stanley Private Equity.

BananaBandy became so popular soon after its launch that it hosted Design Mela, an online challenge for creative professionals in December 2015. The event fetched more than 1500 entries from various creative professionals all across India. The judges for the event included prominent personalities like K V Sridhar, Namit Malhotra, Veteran actor and director Shekhar Kapur, Vikram Phadnis, to name a few. The startup is catching up fast among the professional creative community and the businesses seeking their services.
